Welcome to my website! I hope you enjoy your visit here. For the past year and a half I have been working on this new CD, These Two Hands. It was such fun! I recorded it at Seth Connelly’s Humming Lake Studio in Brookline, NH. If you’re looking to record, this is the place to go. Seth is so talented and so nice that every aspect of this project was enjoyable. His mandolin, bass and piano gave me the production I wanted on so many songs. Patty Keough added fabulous harmonies as did Seth. Ken Porter’s percussion is as incredible as when we have played live together. Leo Egan brought If These Walls Could Talk to Life. And having my son, Zach Allen, add his acoustic guitar to Carry On and Nick’s Song was the musical icing on the cake!

The fabulous photos and art design are my daughter Kelly Allen’s talents at work. If you’re interested in her services email her at kkallen@gmail.com.

Here’s a bit of what people are saying. Please visit the review page for full reviews.

“If you only get to hear "If These Walls Could Talk" you would do yourself a favor by picking up this CD. “

"Julia Kelly can go ahead and take her bows for Long Time Comin'...With her smooth guitar style and exquisite vocals, Kelly plays from the heart, giving this CD a huge aura." -B. Dare Musician's Trade Journal

"Julia takes us on a musical journey with views of love, hope, humor, beauty and understanding. She does this with honest sensitive lyrics. To the point, and with a strong sense of self-understanding, Kelly's lyrics touch a myriad of emotions. A reaction is a definite. This is not a CD I feel most will forget just in its ability to reach into a corner of your mind and tug an unexpected connection." -Codi Stonewall Society Review

“These Two Hands” by Julia Kelly is a soothing, relaxing collection of acoustic/folk songs....unlike most albums, “These Two Hands” delivers a very powerful, uplifting message...the vocals are a strong point on this collection...Overall, Julia’s “These Two Hands” is a positive collection of songs that will speak volumes to those who enjoy music with passion and honesty. -Xavier P. for RadioIndy

These Two Hands - Style - country folk, artists like Alison Krauss come to mind. This is an extremely touching song... I seldom rave in these reviews. The natural, supportive acoustic arrangement and the organic blend between the male/female vocals, harmonies add texture, color to the simple track...My mentioning Alison Krauss is meant as a compliment, the CD, “Forget About It”. - Taxi
